This construction site dump truck has very good playability and is well-paired with the front-end loader (#7630). Both models are at the low-price end of the Lego City line. And both are nicely proportioned. The dump truck has a few more specialized parts than the front-end loader, but other than the two boulders, there are no pieces that are truly single-use (e.g., no one-piece truck bed). I can’t find any shortcoming in terms of play (nothing keeps falling off when children play with it). I strongly recommend this model so long as you can find it at or below MSRP (when Lego models rotate of out production, you’ll find resellers often list sets at ridiculous prices; shop wisely).
I have been a lego collector for several years and the new construction vehicles they have been coming out with are great!!! Over the years the instructions with lego sets have become more simple to read and understand and the sets hold up great. Better construction and new style of parts have made things much better looking and they don’t fall apart as easily. I would highly recommend this and other sets for anyone who likes the city series and collectors.
